Aiming for harmony between people and nature, we are engaged in a wide range of businesses.
Akahori Sangyo promises to continue growing while considering the coexistence of people and nature.
Akahori Sangyo has been steadily diversifying its business for over 100 years since it was founded in the late Taisho era as a planting business (Kannon bamboo, bonsai, ornamental plants, etc.). Currently, the company has expanded from its original planting business to include the indoor greening business (rental and sales of ornamental plants), as well as a wide range of other businesses, including the manufacture and sale of textile products (textile business), general construction (civil engineering, architecture, plumbing, paving, landscaping work), and interior space design.
We hope to continue to be a company that is warm to people and strict in our work, and that is loved by everyone.
Akahori Sangyo Co., Ltd. Representative Director and Chairman Kyoichiro Akahori
Nice to meet you, I am Chairman Akahori. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.
Since Akahori Sangyo was founded in the late Taisho era as a planting business (Kannon bamboo, bonsai, and ornamental plants), we have continued to diversify our business and, thanks to your support, will celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2026.
Our founding business, the gardening business, began by cultivating and selling ornamental plants, and has since evolved into an ornamental plant rental business and the sale of artificial ornamental plants and flowers, bringing greenery to many customers, mainly in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture.
Furthermore, using our landscaping business, which was based on bonsai and garden trees, as a foothold, we have now entered public works projects such as greenery maintenance and park construction, and have grown into a business that currently handles a wide range of public civil engineering and building construction projects.
Our textile business, which began in the early 1940s after the end of the war as a Japanese clothing division (kimono, yukata, obi, tanzen, etc.), has a history of 80 years and today we are a “textile manufacturer and trading company” that mainly produces women’s clothing fabrics, supplying fabrics not only to domestic trading companies, wholesalers, and apparel manufacturers, but also to leading overseas brands. Furthermore, the real estate and
land development business we have been preparing for over the past several years is gradually but steadily gaining momentum. We are working diligently every day to contribute to the future growth of our business through reliable work that brings satisfaction to our customers.
Based on the honesty and enterprising spirit that are the foundation of Akahori Sangyo’s corporate culture, each business supports each other as it evolves, and this has enabled us to steadily build up our business performance even in this time of great change. This is all thanks to all of the business partners who are involved with Akahori Sangyo, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.
In addition to our business activities, we are also engaged in various activities, however small, as part of our responsibility as a company that is part of society, to support the development of the next generation who will lead the future. These activities include promoting work-life balance, creating a workplace environment and employment rules that are friendly to the child-rearing generation, volunteer activities to create an earth-friendly environment, and obtaining environmental ISO14001 certification.
We hope to continue to be a company that is loved by everyone, with our motto of “Be kind to people, be strict with our work.” We will continue to do our utmost to maintain good relationships with you and grow together, so we sincerely ask for your continued support and patronage.
Bringing peace of mind, satisfaction, and inspiration to everyone connected with Akahori Industries.
We are wholeheartedly committed to bringing this vision to life, today and into the future.
Akahori Sangyo Co., Ltd. Representative Director Hayato Akahori
My name is Hayato Akahori, and I assumed the position of President on October 1, 2026. Taking on this responsibility in the milestone year of our company’s 100th anniversary, I am deeply aware of the significance of the role entrusted to me.
I remain sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported Akahori Industries throughout its history, and I am fully committed to doing everything in my power to ensure the continued growth and development of our company. I greatly appreciate your continued guidance and support.
Akahori Industries is a family-owned company, and I represent the fourth generation of the family to lead the business. I believe that one of the greatest strengths of a family-owned company is its ability to “be patient.”
In other words, rather than focusing solely on short-term profits—that is, increasing shareholder value—we are able to make a genuine commitment to enhancing corporate value from a medium- to long-term perspective.
So, what does it mean to enhance corporate value from a medium- to long-term perspective?
I believe it means increasing both the value that our employees find in working for Akahori Industries—what we call “employee value”—and the value that our business partners find in working with us—what we call “business partner value.”
As President, I intend to pursue management centered on these two pillars:
Enhancing employee value
Enhancing business partner value
To enhance employee value, it is essential that we continue to create an attractive and fulfilling environment for everyone who works at Akahori Industries. To enhance business partner value, we must continually increase the added value that we provide to society.
This year, Akahori Industries celebrates its 100th anniversary. As we look ahead to the next 100 years, we are fully committed to further enhancing both employee value and business partner value. Guided by our corporate philosophy of “Diversified Management in Harmony with People and Nature,” we are strengthening our existing businesses, developing new businesses, and further improving our working environment.
These efforts cannot be accomplished overnight. That is precisely why we will take a medium- to long-term perspective, approach our daily work with sincerity and integrity, and continue to steadily enhance the value of our company, one step at a time, without shying away from challenges.
We believe that these efforts will enable us to continue bringing our aspiration to life:
“Bringing peace of mind, satisfaction, and inspiration to everyone connected with Akahori Industries.”
We sincerely appreciate your continued trust and support of Akahori Industries in the years ahead.
