Aiming for harmony between people and nature, we are engaged in a wide range of businesses.
Akahori Sangyo promises to continue growing while considering the coexistence of people and nature.
Akahori Sangyo has been steadily diversifying its business for over 90 years since it was founded in the late Taisho era as a planting business (Kannon bamboo, bonsai, ornamental plants, etc.). Currently, the company has expanded from its original planting business to include the indoor greening business (rental and sales of ornamental plants), as well as a wide range of other businesses, including the manufacture and sale of textile products (textile business), general construction (civil engineering, architecture, plumbing, paving, landscaping work), and interior space design.
We hope to continue to be a company that is warm to people and strict in our work, and that is loved by everyone.
Akahori Sangyo Co., Ltd. Representative Director Kyoichiro Akahori
Nice to meet you, I am President Akahori. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.
Since Akahori Sangyo was founded in the late Taisho era as a planting business (Kannon bamboo, bonsai, and ornamental plants), we have continued to diversify our business and, thanks to your support, will celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2026.
Our founding business, the gardening business, began by cultivating and selling ornamental plants, and has since evolved into an ornamental plant rental business and the sale of artificial ornamental plants and flowers, bringing greenery to many customers, mainly in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture.
Furthermore, using our landscaping business, which was based on bonsai and garden trees, as a foothold, we have now entered public works projects such as greenery maintenance and park construction, and have grown into a business that currently handles a wide range of public civil engineering and building construction projects.
Our textile business, which began in the early 1940s after the end of the war as a Japanese clothing division (kimono, yukata, obi, tanzen, etc.), has a history of 80 years and today we are a “textile manufacturer and trading company” that mainly produces women’s clothing fabrics, supplying fabrics not only to domestic trading companies, wholesalers, and apparel manufacturers, but also to leading overseas brands. Furthermore, the land development and real estate business we have been preparing for over the past several years is gradually but steadily gaining momentum. We are working diligently every day to contribute to the future growth of our business through reliable work that brings satisfaction to our customers.
Based on the honesty and enterprising spirit that are the foundation of Akahori Sangyo’s corporate culture, each business supports each other as it evolves, and this has enabled us to steadily build up our business performance even in this time of great change. This is all thanks to all of the business partners who are involved with Akahori Sangyo, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.
In addition to our business activities, we are also engaged in various activities, however small, as part of our responsibility as a company that is part of society, to support the development of the next generation who will lead the future. These activities include promoting work-life balance, creating a workplace environment and employment rules that are friendly to the child-rearing generation, volunteer activities to create an earth-friendly environment, and obtaining environmental ISO14001 certification.
We hope to continue to be a company that is loved by everyone, with our motto of “Be kind to people, be strict with our work.” We will continue to do our utmost to maintain good relationships with you and grow together, so we sincerely ask for your continued support and patronage.
